1+ days
Your U.S. host now drafts your DS-7002 Training Plan—detailing company info, your learning goals, and what you’ll tackle in your role. Once it’s ready, we forward everything for sponsorship review, double-checking it matches Department of State requirements.

Info: If a site visit is needed (first-timers, small hosts), it can add ~21 days. We’ll keep you updated the whole way.
7–30 days
Once your placement and plan have the green light and your balance is settled, we send your DS-2019, DS-7002, and SEVIS receipt—all electronically. Use these to launch your J-1 visa application (DS-160 form) and embassy interview. Timelines depend on appointment slots, but we’ll help keep you on track!
3–30 days
We suggest booking your U.S. Embassy appointment as soon as you receive your DS-2019 form. Appointment slots can fill up quickly — especially before the busy summer season (June–September) and around major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas (November–December).
Once your interview is complete, the embassy will usually hold your passport for up to 10 days to process and return it by mail with your visa stamp. Please note that Bridge Aspire doesn’t have control over appointment availability or visa decisions, but we’ll guide you through every step to help make the process as smooth as possible.
10 days
With visa in hand, book your return flights, confirm your insurance, and lock in your accommodation. Our pre-departure orientation (required!) preps you for arrivals, U.S. etiquette, and making your landing smooth as possible.
1 day
You can arrive in the U.S. up to 30 days before the start date listed on your DS-2019 form. Once you’ve landed, be sure to download your I-94 arrival record from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website and visit a local Social Security office to apply for your Social Security Number (SSN).
Your U.S. program sponsor will stay in regular contact to ensure your training is on track — and they’re also available 24/7 for any emergencies throughout your stay.

The Bridge Aspire Experience

What Participants Say

Leave a review

My internship through Bridge Aspire gave me so much more than professional experience — it gave me perspective. Training in Chicago taught me to adapt, lead, and see my future in a whole new light.

Bridge Aspire made the process effortless. From the moment I applied, their guidance was clear and supportive. I trained in an amazing U.S. resort and returned home with skills — and confidence — I never thought possible.

I always dreamed of training abroad, but didn’t know where to start. Bridge Aspire helped me prepare, interview, and adjust when I arrived in Florida. I grew both professionally and personally.
