Your one-stop hub for every stage of your Bridge Aspire journey—from pre-departure to life in the U.S. and beyond.
From packing tips to visa prep, this stage is all about setting you up for a smooth journey. We’ll help you check every box before your U.S. adventure begins.
Your passport is your key to entry into the United States — make sure it’s ready.
It must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in the U.S. (some countries are exempt).
You’ll need at least one blank page for your visa.
If you’re studying or residing in another country (for example, a Chinese citizen studying in the UK), ensure your residency or re-entry permit allows multiple entries and remains valid when you return.
Keeping your passport up-to-date will help you avoid travel delays and complications at the border.
Your DS-2019 Form is your official program document — it defines your J-1 Visa status and training details.
Issued by Bridge Aspire’s U.S. sponsor partner, it lists your program dates, sponsor, and host company.
These dates are the only official program dates, even if your visa stamp shows different ones.
The form includes your unique SEVIS ID number (N00…), which you’ll need to validate your program upon arrival.
Check that your name, host company, and dates are all correct — and remember, you are authorized to train only with the host company listed on your DS-2019 and DS-7002 forms.
Bridge Aspire takes care of your SEVIS fee payment as part of your program process — but you’ll still need proof.
Even though the U.S. Embassy can verify your payment electronically, it’s smart to bring a printed copy of your I-901 payment receipt to your visa interview.
You can access and print it at fmjfee.com by choosing “Check I-901 Status/Print Payment Confirmation.”
Enter your SEVIS ID, last name, and date of birth as shown on your DS-2019 to download it.
Keep this receipt in your travel folder — it confirms your SEVIS fee was processed correctly and can speed up embassy processing.
The DS-7002 Form is your personalized training plan — an agreement between you, your host company, and Bridge Aspire’s sponsor partner.
It describes your training objectives, duration, and the skills you’ll develop.
It must be signed by all three parties before your program starts.
You are required to report to the host company listed on the form by your program start date and remain there for the full duration.
Please note: You must return home at the end of your program. Extensions or employment after your DS-2019 end date are not permitted.
Before your flight, double-check that you have:
✅ A valid passport (with blank pages and valid beyond your stay)
✅ Your DS-2019 Form (signed and accurate)
✅ Your DS-7002 Training Plan (signed by all parties)
✅ Your SEVIS I-901 Receipt (printed and packed)
✅ A copy of your Bridge Aspire and sponsor contact details for arrival support
Having these essentials in order ensures a stress-free start to your U.S. internship or training adventure.
